The Villa

Set around a freeform, infinity pool overlooking the ocean, the main villa extends to over 20,000 square feet of covered area featuring 10 en-suite bedrooms, including a master suite, with living areas opening to the large, freeform swimming pool. Separate staff quarters are available for employees including a two-bedroom manager’s house. The main villa is carefully situated on a low ridge sixty feet above the beach, maximizing the stunning sunset views looking west over the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the myriad of islands within the BVI. The master suite features an open terrace overlooking the pool while the remaining nine bedroom suites are situated in three separate blocks wrapping around the ridge taking advantage of the spectacular ocean views. The extensive refurbishment of the villa created a modern interior redesign to a clean coastal aesthetic with bright interiors crafted from natural materials, all accented with natural treasures from Africa combined with Italian craftsmanship.

The family areas in the main villa feature an extensive lounge with built-in bar and a separate cinema screening room. The living accommodation opens to the pool terrace with covered areas for exterior living, making this central building a natural place to entertain guests. A second day room with small kitchen is located between two of the bedroom units, providing an additional living area away from the master suite. The buildings within the main villa are connected by landscaped pathways carefully designed to separate the guest entertainment areas from the service areas.

Pool & Terrace

The freeform pool, with infinity edges, is the centre piece of the villa measuring almost eighty feet in length. Incorporating landscaped areas and the panoramic views of the grounds and sea, the pool is the focus for entertainment, linking the bedrooms with the master suite and the dining pavilion. A water feature by the dining pavilion circulates water for the pool while covered terraces and sundecks provide plenty of space for guests to relax, with the choice of sun or shade.

Dining

Dining options are endless, whether in the formal dining room, under covered dining terraces or al fresco dining on the beach. The dining pavilion features an enclosed, air-conditioned formal dining room supported by a fully equipped, professional grade, kitchen while lunches can be held on the covered terrace in front of the dining pavilion. Beach barbeques provide an alfresco dining experience that is hard to beat. Careful planning links the kitchen to the main service area at the back of the property to ensure that servicing the dining pavilion does not disturb the guest experience.

Master Suite

Extending to over 1,100 sq ft, the master suite features the master bedroom and seating area, bathroom, closet and office. The twin folding doors open to the extensive terrace with roof overhang providing both shaded and sunny areas. Panoramic views of the ocean, islands and sunset provide a spectacular backdrop to the master suite. Each bedroom suite features an en-suite bathroom with travertine floors and glass tiles, new fixtures and bespoke vanities. New windows and folding French doors were selected for smoother indoor-outdoor living to complement the airy, fresh and natural design, while raised ceilings and ceiling fans encourage a blend of seamless outdoor living.

Beach and Grounds

Set over 17 acres of landscaped grounds, Valley Trunk Estate fronts one of the most spectacular beaches in the Caribbean. White sand stretching over 1,000 feet has rocky promontories at either end providing a playground in the rock pools and snorkeling in dramatic underwater seascapes. From the boulder fields along the rear and northern boundaries to the open grass areas closer to the beach, the seventeen acres of grounds provide a backdrop for guests exploring the many pathways leading from the main house to the beach. The grounds are filled with mango, almond, starfruit and cashew trees and a diverse range of native and exotic plants, many of which are grown at the on-site nursery.
